“I am fascinated with the play of light and shadows on objects and colors, but it’s people’s faces that captivate me the most. Growing up, I would keep myself entertained by observing the differences in people’s features, their skin tones and textures. I would especially pay close attention to how shadows and light would sit on unique characteristics such as a hooked nose. I love the challenge of capturing a person’s character as well as their likeness and I am thankful that I have this talent. It’s a privilege for me to be asked to paint the portrait of a loved one for someone.”

It’s very important to Noella to give back to her community, she does her part by donating paintings or prints to charity events a few times a year.
